White Man! White Man! (Rebroadcast)

Larry has a bonding moment with a street guy — or something? We’re not sure what happened. Then Larry finds the one minimall with no bathrooms whatsoever and is also ribbed for being “the doorman” who can’t operate an elevator. And he recites “Spring” by William Blake and talks about the classic ’60s movie “Easy Rider.”

Quote of the week: “I’ve been 17 minutes late for 12 years.”

Larry Miller played such a role in my childhood. I grew up watching his films, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command included! Max Keeble’s Big Move still remains a favourite. 10 Things I Hate About You is another! And in a sense, I still am growing up with this great actor/comedian. I recently came across the remake of Carnival of Souls, which Larry had starred in, and I’m grateful because by that in away it lead me here. It has been a mentally challenging week for me that’s affected my anxiety in a scary way. It resulted to me being bedbound these past few days. Having watched Max Keeble after years, I decided to look Larry up and discover that he had a podcast! I hope I don’t sound too weird and I know this is rather long but, listening to his podcast, this specific podcast, really and truly pulled me through. You have no idea. In bed, listening with my headphones in, he was able to take me away from my own dark world and into a journey, and it was literally just about his day, but the way he told it was so captivating and enjoyable. The man is beyond humbling and genuine. I wish I could tell Larry how much he helped me and thank him from the bottom of my heart. I’m very thankful of the kind of person he is. I wish him and his family the very best and to take care and stay safe, and I look forward to his future podcasts and projects. All the love and respect. 🙂
