The Outlaw Larry Miller

LM_EP631_web

Larry plays pantomime with two incomprehensible restaurant employees. Or someone was playing an elaborate practical joke on him. He winds up paying $13.82 for a Coke, but gets an “instant classic” story for the show out of it. And to heck with his diet. And we learn what the name “Third Base Bar” means. Plus, Larry recites the poem “A Wish” by Matthew Arnold and talks about the “Thin Man” series of movies.

Quote of the week: “Rendezvous, which in French means Rendezvous.”

Producer: Colonel Jeff Fox

Not to taunt the Maestro, but I believe there are only(!) six THIN MAN movies – but I agree, they’re an absolute treat, from start to finish! Even after they toned the drinking down when Little Nicky came along! Just discovered your podcast, and it’s delightful. Thanks, Larry – I’ve been a fan for a long time!
